Is Captain McCall on his way?.

After being dropped for probably the first time in his Bradford City career rumour has it that Bradford legend and current captain Stuart 'McGod' McCall could be on his way from Valley Parade but this rumour has already being shot down by City Chairman Geoffrey Richmond who stated today>>>
"Stuart is an influencell player on and off the field & is not one of the 5 players manager Jim Jeffries wants to get rid of come the end of the season!"

Bantam-mania says>>

"At 36 years old maybe it is time McCall hung up his boots, his last 2                                                                       years where he has been an inspiration at the club have caught up                                                                       with him and on many occasions he has been seen to be a yard or                                                                       two behind the pace against many Premiership teams!

Wetheral to face Hammers.

Star defender David Wetheral crocked in the Bantams away match at Derby mid November makes a sucessful return to first team action tomorrow against Harry Redknapps talented but sometimes inconsistent West Ham side!.

Wetheral's return to the squad would seem to be too late to stop the Bantams from relegation to Division 1 with the team currently a massive 11 points adrift at the bottom of the Premiership with just 11 games to go.

Dundee in Carbone loan deal bid!

City outcast Benito Carbone who has been left out of the squad since being told he was not included in the plans of manager Jim Jeffries starting 11 has been given the oppurtunity today to Join Dundee United on loan till the end of the season!

Dundee manager Ivano Bonetti confirmed his interest today and would like to team Carbone up with Argentinian international Claudio Cannigia at the club.

The deal would see Dundee pay probably half of Beni's massive £30'000 a week wages with City coughing up for the rest!

City head off to Sunny Retreat!!
With no match a week Saturday City manager Jim Jeffries has decided to give his City players a weeks break on the Sunny Algarve in Portugal!

It seems strange that City are being given a relaxing break in the sun when they currently lie 10 points adrift at the bottom of the table?surely a gruelling trip to an army camp to get some backsides kicked would be more the order of the day, although Jeffries claims City are not going for a relaxing break and he has some tough training regimes lined up!

YEAH RIGHT!!!

Wetheral stars in reserves comeback match!
Defender David Wetheral out since mid November with a serious Groin injury made a sucessful comeback to footballing action and starred in the City reserves 4-2 victory against Liverpools reserves last night.

City manager Jim Jeffries got his first Glimpse of City's star defender in action and admitted he was impressed with what he saw commenting that the player looked "confident on the ball"amongst other things!

Wether Wetheral plays in City's trip to Southampton or not the sooner he is back in the squad the better for all the squad as he is an inspirational figure for every player to follow.
